Devlog #0 – First Look at Fisherman’s Curse

Hey everyone, this is my very first devlog for Fisherman’s Curse.
This whole thing started as a small survivors-like test project, but I wanted to push it further - add a darker vibe, more tension, and a bit of Lovecraftian horror.
So, what’s the idea?
You jump into short, intense runs, fighting through growing waves of enemies. If you make it to 10 minutes, a boss shows up. Kill it, and you earn its Eye. Collect three Eyes, and you’ve beaten the story mode… but that only opens the door to more cursed game modes.
Right now it’s still early days. I’ve got:
-
a playable hero with a working core loop
-
waves of enemies that just keep getting bigger and BIGGER
-
three basic enemy types for the first wave
-
a simple meta-progression system so you can carry upgrades between runs
It’s not much yet, but it’s already fun to play around with and see the chaos build up.
What’s planned next:
-
three proper bosses, each with their own mechanics
-
the full story mode built around collecting Eyes
-
two endless modes (play as Human or as Mutant)
-
leaderboards, for competitors
That’s the vision. It’s still rough, but I’m excited to keep pushing forward and sharing progress here.
If you’ve read this far, thanks - and Follow if you want to watch the game grow.
Three Eyes. One Curse.
